As a member organization, NJACAC is governed by members to serve members. The Association is seeking willing members to join the Executive Board. The Nominations and Elections Committee calls for candidates to fill positions on the NJACAC Executive Board for terms beginning May 21, 2019  (Assembly Delegate term begins July 15, 2019).

2019  Open Positions

This spring, the NJACAC Membership will be asked to elect:

  • (1) President-Elect (One-year term as part of a three-year cycle = three year term)
  • (1) Assembly Delegate (Three-year term)
  • (2) College Representatives (Two-year term)
  • (2) Secondary School Representatives (Two-year term)
  • (1) Secretary (Three-year term)

Please thoughtfully consider nominating a colleague, or nominating yourself. When reviewing candidates to put forth on the election slate, the Nominations and Elections Committee will focus on individual attributes as well as the collective background of each nominee to bring diversity of expertise, skills, experience and personal qualities to strengthen the Association. 

Eligibility

All nominees will be required to provide additional application information prior to being considered for placement on the election ballot. All candidates for board positions must be NJACAC voting members.

Candidates for elected offices should have demonstrated commitment to the goals and objectives of NJACAC through involvement in its activities, such as service on one or more committees or membership on the Executive Board. Further, candidates must provide the chair of the Nominations and Elections Committee written assurance that s/he will attempt to meet the responsibility of the office and term, and will have his/her supervisor provide a written statement attesting to the support of candidacy for the nominated position.

This year’s deadline for nominations is March 5, 2019.  This deadline is inclusive of the statement of Institutional Support.

ALL Nominees MUST ATTEND a candidates’ meeting on March 11, 2019.  Meeting will begin at 5:30. It will be held at William Paterson University. Details will be sent to you closer to the meeting date.

All candidates’ are invited to attend as observers the NJACAC Executive Board Meeting which will be held before the candidates’ meeting – the NJACAC Board Meeting will begin at 4:00 pm.
