Candidate Message:
I have been involved with NJACAC in the past as a Committee Chair, Conference Presenter, College Fair Presenter, and regular attendee to the annual conference and I would like to get involved once again. In terms of serving as a delegate-this past cycle there were no Independent Counselors serving as delegates and I believe representation of this group is very important as we are a growing presence here in New Jersey and across the country. I believe that my 24 years a college counselor, on both the high school side and independently, positions me well to be of service to the members of NJACAC and the students we serve. As we have all experienced over the past year, the college admissions process is everchanging. I believe it is imperative that all professionals who work in college admissions have the ability to relay correct, up to date information to families. I am also focused on mental health issues, academic equity, and rebuilding motivation that has been lost to some over the past year.

Candidate Message:
I have worked in education for the past twenty-six years. Supporting students as they explore opportunities for their future and realize their potential for personal success has been central to my career as both a classroom teacher and school counselor. Establishing relationships with a network of colleagues has proven to be vital in best serving the needs of students in their transition from high school to college. The atmosphere of college admissions is dynamic and ever changing. NJACAC has enabled me to stay abreast of those issues in the college admissions process that challenge institutions, school counselors, and students today. As an Assembly Delegate, my goal is to participate in the national conversation while representing our local concerns: to explore transitional needs from high school to college; examine state and national movements and mandates affecting our students and our profession; develop programs to adapt to the changing face and needs of our 21st century students; and generate solutions to stressors affecting all stakeholders invested in the college admissions counseling process and the success of our New Jersey students.
