Associate Director of Diversity Recruiting

The Associate Director of Diversity Recruiting directs and coordinates general admissions programs.  The successful candidate is responsible for the direction and coordination of multicultural recruitment.

Accountabilities:

  1. Serve as primary administrator for diversity recruitment
  2. Mentor one or more staff at the Assistant Director or Senior Assistant Director level
  3. Manage an assigned recruitment territory and participate in both on and off campus recruitment activities
  4. Read, review and assess applications to Lehigh from an assigned region

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Three to five years related work experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing ability and organizational skills
  • Solid computer skills with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, county and national criminal background checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance.  Based upon the requirements of the position Lehigh may also request credit history reports, motor vehicle checks and professional license/certification verification

Special Considerations:

  • This position is responsible for driving University-owned vehicles as a routine function, therefore a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record is required
    This position works with minors
  • Periods of high volume/workload may be required for Fall and Spring programs
  • Occasional evening, holiday or weekend hours for Admissions programs
  • Extensive travel is required for Fall and Spring recruitment
