Position Summary:
Under the guidance of the Director of Admissions Operations, the Coordinator of Summer/Winter Enrollment and Recruitment Events works as part of a team to enable the Office of University Admissions to meet its enrollment goals by actively participating in on-campus recruitment activities, communication, and marketing to prospective students. The incumbent is responsible for optimization of summer and winter session enrollments and coordination of all recruitment events for the Office of University Admissions. The coordinator will develop and oversee information flow and constituent contact strategies using various electronic media and direct contact. This position will be required to work evening and weekend hours as needed to participate in recruitment events.

Essential Functions:
Coordinator of Summer/Winter Enrollment • Manage engagement and conversion strategies for prospective undergraduate and graduate students, applicants, and enrolled students employing various CRM systems. • Create and execute manual and automated communication tracks for each program and level of engagement. • Manage relationship data related to registration, marketing, scholarship, housing, program requirements, communications, etc. • Deliver personal and relevant communications that effectively target specific market segments with a customized message. Manage market segments and send timely communication based on Summer and Winter Session goals. • Develop and manage direct constituent contact strategies using direct messaging (email) and planned periodic phone contact. • Understand NJIT’s summer and winter student market and develop comprehensive marketing plans to reach out to potential students in a timely and effective matter. • Function as ombudsmen for prospective, applicants, and enrolled students regarding admission, enrollment, program details, registration, payment, housing, deadline, and other questions. • Use various reports and interpret data to track summer and winter enrollment and the success of marketing and scholarship initiatives. • Assist Director of Admissions Operations, Executive Director of University Admissions, and Associate Vice President in the development of recruitment and budgetary goals for the summer and winter sessions using trend analysis and historical data.
Coordinator of Recruitment Events • Coordinate and execute on-campus recruitment events including but not limited to undergraduate and graduate open houses, accepted student days, orientation, instant decision days, transfer days, scholarship receptions, and weekday and weekend campus visits. • Develop and implement guidelines and a plan for promotion and marketing of on-campus events. • Hire, train, and manage student ambassadors for campus tours, events, call center, and other office needs. • Work with Director of Admissions Operations to develop and monitor all marketing materials, electronic communications, and website. • Provide information to NJIT community via appropriate communication channels about on-campus activities.

Additional Functions:
• Develop comprehensive customer satisfaction tracking to gauge customer satisfactions of the students participating in our summer/winter sessions and recruitment events. • Develop appropriate reports to measure the success of the summer/winter sessions and the recruitment events. • Monitor the distribution of written and electronic applicant/participant acceptance letters and related correspondence. • Represent the university at off-campus recruitment events as needed.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; • Minimum of three years of admissions or advisement experience in higher education; • Prior experience managing event planning and/or marketing; • Strong analytical skills; • Must have excellent public speaking skills, as well as strong written and verbal skills to support relationship building with prospective students and other constituents; • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required to perform job functions; • Available to work regular weekends and evenings to participate in recruitment events; • Occasional travel is required; • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required;

Preferred Qualifications:
• Be able to present to diverse audiences, individual students, and groups of different sizes in a positive manner; • Experience working in a STEM-based public university or school with a large number of international students; • Experience working with diverse student populations; • Familiarity with Banner, Slate, ISSM, SEVIS, Banner Relationship Management, or Document Imaging; • Fluency in two or more languages; • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community; • Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of the students and offer appropriate solutions. Must be able to work independently, exercise discretion, and assume responsibility; • An ability to quickly adapt to new and changing software systems;

Range/Band:
23 – Compensation for this position starts at $59,279.
