Secondary School Rep Candidates

Faride Hernandez

Current Place of Employment: Dover High School
Job Title: School Counselor

Candidate Message:

I am interested in working alongside professional organizations to further help my students on their path of post HS education. I genuinely believe that all students can learn, given a positive learning environment that welcomes exploration and builds self-confidence. I have over 15 years of professional experience in education serving as a High School Counselor and in Higher Education in various roles. I am confident that my years of leadership, counseling, collaboration, and professional development experiences make me a strong candidate for the NJACAC Executive Board. As a member of NJACAC, ASCA, and MCPCA, I understand the value of professionals working together as we help our students overcome the obstacles that come with transition from high school to post-secondary education.

Melissa O’Sullivan

Current Place of Employment: Immaculate Heart Academy
Job Title: Director of College Counseling

Candidate Message:

I have been involved in NJACAC for over 18 years and look forward to being able to continue working with the board. I’ve previously served in the President cycle, as a secondary school rep, assembly delegate, and numerous chair positions. I believe my experience both on the board previously, and as a current college counseling professional I could add a great deal to the board as a voting member.
