Haaaay NJACAC!

How did it get to be April already? As we enter this season of renewal and rejuvenation, I wanted to provide you with some important NJACAC updates.

NJACAC Election Results

Thank you to everyone who voted in our Executive Committee election a few weeks ago. I am THRILLED to announce the following individuals have been elected to the 2024-2025 NJACAC Executive Committee:

President-Elect:

Sasha Rashid (School Counselor, Henry P. Becton Regional HS)

Treasurer-Elect:

Jenna Yount-Treasurer-Elect (Associate Director, Recruitment & Outreach, Rutgers University-New Brunswick)

Secondary School Representative:

Cedrick Alexis (School Counselor, Union Catholic HS)

Nancy Reyes (School Counselor, North Plainfield HS)

College Representative:

Jose Balda (Assistant VP Admissions and Enrollment Management, NJCU)

Tasha Rivera (Director, One Stop Enrollment and Recruitment, Atlantic Cape Community College)

Our new Executive Committee members will begin the term at the conclusion of our NJACAC Conference.

NJACAC24 Conference Registration OPEN!

The NJACAC Conference will take place on May 20-21, 2024 at Harrah’s in Atlantic City with the theme, The Crossroads of Counseling.” Registration is now open; be sure to register before May 6th to lock in the early bird pricing and hotel room rate of $85/night (plus taxes and fees).

This year our Keynote Speaker will be Jeremy Tiers, the Senior Director of Admissions Services at Tudor Collegiate Strategies. He has presented multiple times at the NACAC National Conference and several regional ACAC conferences, and is the host of the popular 'Mission Admissions' podcast.

NJACAC Heads to Los Angeles!

NJACAC will be hosting a reception and membership meeting at the NACAC Conference on Thursday, September 26, 2024. More information will be forthcoming, but please be sure to register for the conference and indicate your interest in attending.

Attitude of Gratitude

Thank you to all the members of our EXECUTIVE BOARD! Over the past year I have truly come to appreciate the hard work and dedication of this talented group of individuals. As my term comes to a close, I would be remiss to not shout everyone out!!
