Message from the NJACAC President

Hi friends!

Can you believe we are less than two weeks away from Labor Day and the unofficial end of summer? I'm a summer isn't over until September 22 kind of gal, but with back to school season in full swing, it seemed like as good a time as any to catch you up on what we've been up to at NJACAC and remind you of what you have to look forward to in the coming weeks!

In June, we partnered with New Jersey City University to host College Key, providing traditionally underrepresented, first-gen, and low income 10th and 11th grade students an opportunity to learn about admissions, financial aid and more!

Camp College kicked off at Rutgers University-Newark, before heading to Georgian Court University, where rising juniors and seniors stayed overnight at GCU and learned from experts in the admissions field about the college admissions process.

And it wouldn't be back to school season without our 2025 Basics Workshop, hosted by Rider University. Basics is a hands-on workshop that helps newer school counselors and college admissions counselors learn from the pros and provides newer professionals with the tools they need to hit the ground running this fall.

And we're not stopping any time soon!  We'll be at the annual NACAC Conference in Columbus, OH, where we hope you'll stop by our Membership Meeting on Thursday, September 18 at 6:15pm in Taft CD at the Hyatt Regency Columbus.
