Message from the NJACAC President

Hi Members,

As we approach the holiday season, I want to take a moment to express my appreciation for each of you. The college admissions landscape continues to evolve, and yet this community remains a constant source of strength, support, and inspiration. Your dedication to your students - and to one another - is what makes NJACAC so amazing.

I am especially grateful for the incredible work of our NJACAC committee chairs and members. Your leadership, creativity, and commitment fuel the initiatives that allow us to share knowledge, connect colleagues across the state, and grow together as professionals. Whether you are planning programs, developing resources, advocating for our students, or creating spaces for collaboration, your contributions make a meaningful difference and we are so lucky to have you!

Our PD Committee continues to knock it out of the park with insightful programming, like the fall panel, The Future of Admissions, hosted by Rutgers University. Up next, join us virtually every Wednesday in January for the Special Population Series on Zoom at 1pm. Learn about the benefits of student ambassadors, recruiting student athletes, guiding queer and transgender students through the admissions process, and mentorship!

Don’t forget to SAVE THE DATE for the 2026 NJACAC Annual Conference!

The 2026 NJACAC Annual Conference will be held on Monday, 5/18 - Tuesday, 5/19 at The Golden Nugget Hotel & Resort in Atlantic City. This year's conference theme, 'Dancing in the Dark: Forging a Path Forward in Times of Uncertainty' will focus on how we can come together from all sides of our profession to not just survive tumultuous times in the admissions and counseling field, but thrive. Keep an eye on our website as we update the page with information for this year's conference; more information on registration, exhibition, and the submission of educational session proposals will be forthcoming in the coming weeks. If you're interested in joining the conference planning committee, please fill out this brief form by 12/30.

Thank you for giving your time, your expertise, and your energy to this organization. Because of you, NJACAC continues to thrive as a vibrant, supportive community dedicated to learning and service. I am proud to work alongside each of you! I hope that you take the time you deserve to relax and celebrate with family, friends and loved ones.

As always, please don’t hesitate to hit reply with any questions or concerns. Or just to say hi! Have a wonderful holiday and Happy New Year!

All the best,
Sasha
