For When It's Not So Easy Breezy: Managing Stress, Disappointments, and Setbacks In Your Career

Has your career gone sideways or stagnant? Have the questions, “How did I get here?” or “What do I do next?” ever crossed your mind? We’ve all been there! Join Lex, Will, and the Professional Development Committee for a virtual discussion on how to overcome and manage setbacks, disappointments, and stress in your career.

Lex Vuillemot is an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of New Haven in West Haven, CT. Lex, who also serves as one of the co-chairs for the NJACAC Mentorship Committee, is wrapping up her fourth fall recruitment cycle in Central NJ. Join us as she shares  her insights and experience relating to overcoming the various challenges and setbacks we all have faced or may face throughout our careers.

Will Bagnall is an Assistant Director of Admissions at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Will joined the Wentworth team in 2022, after working at Massachusetts General Hospital for the previous three years. The journey that brought Will to admissions has been far from straightforward, but has given him insights into how setbacks, obstacles, and missteps can help somebody find their true path.
